3rd Update: Inputs
Welcome to this new devlog!
After finishing a functional physics concept, we started working on the first inputs for the game.
First, we added the capability of starting and ending an earthquake, so now you don’t need to restart the executable to restart the earthquake, for now this is done with the spacebar.
And on the other side we added de capability of placing blocks (left mouse click for now), for the moment there is just one type of block. With this we can now consider the game to be functional, as you can already create basic buildings.
Apart from this first inputs we started working on textures, for now we added a background to this scene.
Now one of the most important tasks that we have is the creation of a selection system for many blocks and giving them proper textures, uses and properties.
Next week we’ll not be posting a devlog as the team will be on vacations. Then the next devlog can be expected in 2 weeks.
